First cheese we randomly tried was Livarot, an artisinal cheese named after a village in Normandy. It's nickname is The Colonel because it is wrapped with straps of rush or paper like a colonel's stripes. This is a raw cow's milk cheese that has a hevey, moist p We tried it along with some salami, baguette, and (of course) some wine. Alone, it has a very strong taste which we weren't sure about. But with the bread and meat, Livarot's spicy flavors came through and melded nicely.

Yum! You just can't beat bread, cheese, salami, and wine! Especially in France!
JC and I finally booked our Universal Studios/Caribbean vacation yesterday. Not quite France, but it'll be fun!
